We're excited to introduce some new weekly event at the Fogolar. Each Friday night from 5 to 11pm the member's bar converts into a restaurant, where each week our chef prepares a different traditional meal for the patrons. Dishes include Roasted Rabbit on a bed of Fennel Risotto, Osso Bucco on Polenta, in addition to many other home cooked Northern Italian favourites. Specials usually cost under $15 and is an affordable and healthy way to take the family out for dinner. Stone-baked pizza is served in the member's bar every weekday evening as well.

Sunday Brunch is another new event that is held every Sunday in the Member's bar as well. A buffet is served with assorted breakfast & lunch dishes, an omelette station, desserts, bread & butter, and coffee & tea. Tickets cost $15 each for adults, or $10 each for children aged 4-12.

The Fogolar Furlan Club of Windsor recently celebrated a 45 year anniversary. The Club has enjoyed an ongoing reputation as one of Windsor & Essex County's premiere banquet facilities. The unique architecture of the facilities, together with the beautiful patio and the forested picnic grounds provide the perfect setting for many special occasions. This natural setting is complimented by extensive menu offerings covering a wide range of Italian cuisine.

The Fogolar Furlan Club has enjoyed continuous growth since its inception. The recent opening of the Pavilion which supports the many sport teams that utilize the Club's facilities is the most recent addition to the Fogolar. The considerable expansion to the Fogolar's kitchen and the redesign of the Windsor Hall also serve as examples of the Fogolar's ongoing progress.

The name Fogolar is derived from the Friuli region of northern Italy, bordered by Slovenia, Croatia and Austria, and is surrounded by the Alps. The Friuli-Venezia-Giulia region is made up of four provinces: Udine, Pordenone, Gorizia, and Trieste. The Fogolar represents the hearth or fireplace which was, and still is, the centre of family life in Friuli. For years Furlan immigrants and their descendants in Windsor have held onto this flame and have kept the Fogolar Furlan alive and strong in the community.
