2011: Fogolar Furlan 50th Anniversary

The Fogolar Furlan of Windsor is preparing for its 50th anniversary celebrations in 2011. We are currently in the process of assembling content for the 50th anniversary book. Filming is underway for a commemorative DVD which will be packaged with the book. The steering committee, made up of Val Pistor (Book), Jeff Nadalin & Marisa de Franceschi (DVD), and Angelo Minato (Events) have made tremendous progress over the last year. We are also proud to announce we have received a grant from the Trillium foundation to help subsidize the production of the Book. A big thank you goes out to our Trillium committee of Liliana Sovran and Marisa de Franceschi.

How You Can Get Involved

Portraits: For a mere $10, your photo can be featured in the book's member photos section. More information below.
Photo submissions: Although we have a tremendous amount of photos already, we are still looking for photos of particular events in the Club's history:
- 1970’s - pictures of the festivities/banquet of the Windsor-Udine twinning ceremonies
- Pictures of the 1975 and 1977 Miss Fogolar Furlan winners
- Staff pictures from all decades
We are also missing the names of the 1986 and 1991 Fogolar Scholarship winners.

Members, have you had your picture taken for the 50th Anniversary Commemorative Book?

If the answer is “no,” then you have one more chance to join the nearly 250 members who have already taken advantage of this offer! The next and final date of photo sessions takes place on Saturday, March 13 from 1 to 5pm. Please call Sarah in the office at 966-2230 to book your appointment.

ALSO if you would like to have a deceased member’s picture in the book please submit the photo to the office or online to info@fogolar.com. It is important to clearly submit the deceased member’s name and a $10.00 fee must be paid at the office for each deceased member’s picture to be included in the commemorative book.
